April 26, 2007 : Double Calibrachoa

Calibrachoa are like little mini-petunias. In fact, they're closely related to petunias. They have smaller leaves and a mounding, spreading habit.

I think they're best in pots (using peat or potting soil), because they prefer acidic soil and around here the soil is generally pretty alkaline.

This is a picture of the first double Calibrachoa, in a cute little antique depression glass vase of mom's.
