March 1, 2008 : Getting Started

Glenda seeded the first petunias and such in early February, just a handful of things that we want to start early for baskets.

Now we've opened the first greenhouse, which we call the Workroom. Here Glenda (with watering can) works with our new employee Ksenia transplanting. Ksenia is also helping with the seeding, and next week will have the first big seeding, a whopping 54 seedling flats. Each flat of seedlings has the potential to produce up to 500 plants, so in the following weeks the amount of green (and the amount of work to do) will start to multiply exponentially.
